Gratitude and Guilt

I think it is really easy to take one another for granted. Guilt for preserving our mental and physical health when that choice affects others negatively• Wouldn't you want to share a little of your light when they're lost in the dark?

Allow yourself to accept Guilt and gratitude unique gifts and beauty. I find myself lurking in my own garden these days. I have been so blessed by your ministry these past two years.

We set out to address these questions in a recent research involving nearly 300 adults, mostly college students who were seeking mental health counseling at a university. Though research on gratitude is still relatively young, some researchers have started to address these questions, suggesting why gratitude can be so hard for some of us and what we can do to reach it more easily. While sin no longer has a hold on us and we are no longer slaves to it, we still struggle with sin every day.

Guilt, Gratitude and the Emerging from the Mother Wound

I like controlling my schedule. I decided I was going to go to that workshop as soon as I received the flyer in the mail. Guilt is a wired-in emotion evoked when we believe we have done something bad. Perhaps I took what could have been a healthy dose of guilt, and made it shame. We stand before God condemned and deserve the punishment of death.
