The book was boring until the last chapter which is the one that gave it the second star.
Mandie and the Trunk's Secret 1985• That is the main reason he intends to be a lawyer when he grows up.
Mandie was soon sent away to live with the Brysons to take care of their baby son. But since her mother is going to have a baby, neither she nor Mandie's uncle can take her.
Mandie has just about given up when her Grandmother Taft agrees to take her. The series was successful; by 2001, more than six million Mandie books had been sold. Mandie and the Quilt Mystery An old family quilt, handed down from Mandie's Cherokee grandmother, contains a secret message stitched into the design.
The story starts around the year 1900 when Mandie finds a mystery to solve with her friends like Joe Woodard and Celia Hamilton.
The Mandie books are fun Christian mysteries for children, but I still love reading them.
